Ants

As of yesterday, we have ants in our DISHWASHER. Not in our sink or on our counters. In. The. Dishwasher. Gross.

I ran the empty dishwasher with vinegar yesterday but that only worked for about 20 minutes. Today there have only been a few but I bought Borax at Target to get them if they come back. The weird thing is they aren't on the dirty dishes. They are just wandering around the bottom and up the sides on the door. Ugh.

nice... we used to have a HUGE ant problem when we lived in M-town... if there was a crumb or anything left on the ground for more than 5 minutes, they would find it - it was insane!!! I would get a piece of duct tape and get the whole line and pile of ants in just a couple sticks - haha!

I hate ants; they are such annoying little creatures. But would you rather have mice?....those are awful. Trust me, I know.

we have the same dishwasher problem - and I hate to tell you this, but it's part of the joy of home ownership in the spring in the south!

Honestly, get on board with a pest control company - they come once a qaurter to try and prevent any and all creatures from inhabiting your house, and if you have ants (or whatever) in the meantime they come get rid of them - as many times as it takes - for free. When I was house sitting in greenville one summer, that family used Gregory (a local company) - and when ants got into the baking cabinet, they fixed it pronto. Give them a call.

oh - AND I forgot to say earlier that you should probably watch out in your shower and tub and sinks, too - at least in our experience, these carolina ants like water. or pipes. or something.

ew, right?
