10 Week Photo Shoot

I was picking out pictures for the boys’ dedication at church and I realized I never shared these pictures. A friend here in town took these for us and they are amazing. I cherish having these pictures from a time when life was a hazy blur of sleep deprivation. You can check out our photographer at her website. She comes very highly recommended. Enjoy!

What Would You Say?

Conversation with Kiran tonight in the car

Kelley: We're getting on to I-26 West. Kiran do you know what the opposite of west is?
Kiran: No. Lest?
Kelley: Its east. What's the opposite of north?
Kiran: South!
Kelley: That's right! Good job!
Kiran: What's the opposite of Texas?

Well....what would you say?

One of the perks of Jonathan’s job that he gets off at 2pm on Fridays in the summer. This past Friday afternoon we headed downtown to walk around and be cultured. We hit some of our 175 Things To Do. Since we were wandering around, we found out that there was an Artcycle exhibition which is art made out of bicycles. Our favorites were the yoga poses and the praying mantis.

#12. See the “Wall Street Journal” sculpture located at the Morgan Square side of Extended Stay America’s headquarter building.

We also checked out the Hub City Bookshop, the CoffeeBar and Cakehead Bakeshop. We love patronizing local businesses and these did not disappoint. Except that we were disappointed that Cakehead closes at 3 so we only got to choose from what was left over at the coffee shop. Must go back before 3pm one day. We love the revitalization going on downtown! Keep it up Hub City! We’ll support you!
