You definitely earned the right to hear my embarrassing story. I had no idea that would turn into so much fun. I have read those stories many times and laughed so hard..... so here goes...
*disclaimer: I never said this was the most embarrassing story. It happens to be MY most embarrassing moment. However, I realize it pales in comparison with some of your stories but nevertheless, I will share. I was like Erin G and EMU and I've always had a hard time coming up with an answer for that question. Now I have one.
Last Tuesday night, we were at a meeting for a church plant that we were helping with. Jonathan, about 15 other adults, and I were brainstorming out loud ways to let the community know about the new church. J & I were sitting in the very back and I decided to throw my two cents in. I yelled out "Mouth-to-Mouth!" The room exploded. I remember hearing someone say "We aren't that kind of church." I couldn't look at anyone for a long time and my face turned as pink as my shirt. I was going for word of mouth which someone had already said but I unfortunately did not notice. Then everyone started yelling at me not to go into labor. Remember I was 26 years old not in middle school.
The best part is that later in the week we were meeting with the church planter and another guy from the team and the church planter totally brought it up. He said he kept laughing every time he thought of me yelling out Mouth-to-Mouth. I told him that he should name his marketing strategy that.
So there you have it. My most embarrassing moment thus far.

Yep, that's embarrassing. So many of my embarrassing moments deal with me opening my mouth when it would have been better off closed.
I'm glad you shared. I was going to share another moment to see if that would count towards 10!
That's great - but I have to say, I would be much more embarrassed to have been in the situations most of your commenters said. :) This was fun!
Sorry I didn't get in my story in time. Once you said I should, I was going to, but yesterday turned out to be insane and I didn't have time.
Like you, after reading these stories mine didn't seem very embarrassing, so I wasn't going to post it. If you still want me to, I will.
The masses say they want to hear Jennifer's other story AND Merritt's story!
My second moment is from my first year teaching. For anyone who teaches in SC, you are aware of the out-of-this-world pressure put on teachers for high PACT scores (as if we're the ones taking the test). The first day of testing, I was so nervous about how my students would do that I obviously paid no attention to myself while getting ready. While standing in line to receive my testing materials at the guidance office, I heard a chuckle. I looked up to see a teacher laughing while looking right at me. Others started turning their heads and noticed something right away. I began wondering what was wrong with me. Ummmm, so yeah, in my nervousness, I wore my dress backwards. To work. And all those co-workers saw.
jennifer- that is awesome.just awesome.
Kelley your embarrassing moment reminded me of yet another one I had. Yes, another one. :) I was in a work meeting with some of the big shot bosses. This was when I worked at Nasa, so there were several former astronauts and such. I was a lowly nobody there to observe. In the middle of the meeting, I scooted in my chair, and it made this EXTREMELY loud farting noise. The room got quiet and everyone looked over at me with astonished looks on their faces. I mumbled lamely, "It was the chair," and everyone just kinda snickered to themselves in disbelief. I was mortified.
