Oh the irony

Today I used a gift certificate for a pedicure that I had been saving for the "right" time. I figure if I've lost my ankles and my toes look like little sausages then at least my toenails can look good. The Vietnamese (yes I asked) owned place was really busy and all the chairs were full for the spa pedicures. The TV was set on Rachel Ray and about 15 minutes into the program, she launches into a 20 minute segment on the dangers of nail salons and how they don't sterilize equipment properly, etc. All of us sitting in the chairs start snickering at the irony of watching this segment while in the Asian nail salon. Then the man who runs the shop throws his hands up in the air and says "What is she doing? This is Rachel Ray. She is supposed to talk about food- not nail salons!" I don't think it hurt his business today.

That is hilarious! I just love pedicures. After that did you go have a baby? Just curious...

It really does make me smile when I look down at my pretty toes.

Erin- you are just like my family. My sister calls me every day to ask if I've had the baby. I think they are paranoid we are going to sneak off to the hospital and have this baby.

Hey, at least you are in America this time! And I'll take it as a compliment that I'm just like your family - cause they rock!

HAHA I was watching that! The funny thing is I watch the ladies at the place I go clean the basins and sterlize the equipment---not sure where that lady was...those places looked sketchy! Most of the greenville salons are owned and operated by our friends family from college that the guys so nicely called him " vietnamese BOBBY"hahahahahaha ha

The owner guy also said, "That is New York! Not here!!!"

Haha. That's funny. When we were in the Bangkok airport not long ago, we were waiting to board a plane and the program on the airport TVs was about plane crashes. Same kind of moment!! Only maybe a little more cause for panic!! Ha!

I had a pedicaure ON Nathan's due date, in the hopes it would make him get out. It didn't. But that pedicure did make me happy... yours will too... especially by the end of the week when you can see your feet again!

hang in there.
