June 15

Not only was today Father's Day (Happy Father's Day Dad), but it also marked one year since we arrived back in America after living overseas for almost 2 years.

Its strange to think its been a year since we were last in India. Sometimes it seems like a dream, something that happened to someone else in a different lifetime. Other times I can hear music or taste food and I'm drawn right back to that culture. Sometimes I just really miss my helper and the pakora curry she made. The past year has been full of ups and downs but we've enjoyed living close to our families. We have no idea what the future holds for us but we know now that we'd rather go with God than stay where we are comfortable.

Has it really been a year?? Wow!
Has it felt like a long or a short time to you guys?

I'll come visit you wherever you live, but it's nice to have you here. We've gotten to see each other lots this year, and it's way fun!

Sometimes it feels like a long time- we've done so many huge things in a year- J got a new job, we bought a house, we got pregnant and are about to have that baby. Yet it also seems to have flown by. A whole year??? I remember you guys over at our apartment as we packed up the very very last things and gave you what we couldn't fit.

Mert- its def been fun to see you more often than once a year! How many times have we seen each other? Happy things reunion, homecoming, jill's wedding, my visit to dc, and tyler's wedding. Did I miss any? Nice.

That last sentence was perfect!

That's so true...memories of India sometime just feel like a dream. (and we haven't even been back a month!) I can't imagine how it will feel a year from now.

well, at least this picture captured her first time in SC!!

And to have her first glimpse of the US be the big apple ain't bad either! :)
