Happy Thanksgiving

I hope you are enjoying this holiday. Thanksgiving came at a very apt time for us- we are thankful for the hope we now have that we will get these boys here safely. This is not the path we would have chosen, given the choice. But now that this path has been chosen for us, we don't want off.We have a thanksgiving tradition of buying a new Christmas CD for the holiday season. Last year we got the Elf soundtrack. Any recommendations for favorite Christmas CDs?

Johnny Mathis Christmas. So good, the classic cheery music. Close second: Vince Gualadi Charlie Brown Christmas (mostly classic piano, very soothing). Or you could go way old school, Sandy Patti Christmas...

I just realized that all of those are really old, but they are the only ones I listen to!

I really like Third Day's Christmas Offerings
Beware though - there's a song about adoption that will be sure to bring tears to your eyes.

I think in recent years we have added the Shane and Shane Christmas album, James Taylor's and Diana Krall's. All very different and all good.

We really like the Happy Christmas albums. I think there are 3. Christian artists remaking the old songs.

And Selah's is my favorite!

If you don't have the Selah one, get that one. Also, Andrew Peterson's is phenomenal. I think it's called Labor of Love. That's my favorite song, at least, so I remember that one.

my favorite is still the beach boys christmas. If you don't have that in your collection, you need it.

And I am sort of loving the new rascall flatts single - a bunch of carols all mashed up together. haven't heard the rest of the CD yet though, just heard that one on the radio today (and I admit, I listened -- merritt where is your BABY???)

so glad to hear the good report on the boys. will keep praying.

one of our favs as kids was the chipmunks christmas. our kids listened to it this a few days ago and loved it. not very traditional, but lots of fun for little ones.

In case it interests you the Number 1 selling album (not just christmas albums) of all time is the Christmas with Bing Crosby CD. It is a good one if you don't have it.
