I have discovered the joy of podcasts.
My girls take a nap at the same time in the afternoon (ok Kiran only sleeps half the time but she "takes a rest" for 1.5 hours on the days she doesn't sleep). I have just realized the joy of listening to podcasts while working around the house. I can only do this now because I have a laptop whose battery does not quit after 1.3 minutes. So I'm carrying my computer around bringing Mark Driscoll or Dave Ramsey with me as I change the sheets on the bed and mop the bathroom floor. Its made those menial, repetetive tasks so much more enjoyable because my mind is stimulated.
So I'm asking for suggestions- do you listen to any podcasts? Which ones? I am open to any topic really but I enjoy thinking about Jesus. At least most of the time. Sometimes its convicting and that's not really enjoyable. Anyhow- give me some good podcasts to listen to! Thanks!

I love listening to David Platt - Brookhills Baptist Church podcast
He was one of our professors in Sem and then went there to be a pastor and is really shaking things up! I like listening to him - he pumps me up! He's not afraid to say things - he doesn't tread lightly...
haha! my word verification is "Chili" haha!
ohh, the next word verification is Chini - sugar!
I love Perry Noble from Newspring church. he is hilarious but really convicting at the same time. i have him on my iPod and listen sometimes. do u have an iPod? that might be easier than toting your laptop around...
Aww Chini, I was just talking about how much I missed her yesterday.
I don't do this, but my friend Sarah loves to do the same thing you said about cleaning while listening to sermons. She really enjoys John Piper.
my church puts all of our sermons on podcasts--capitol hill baptist church. we also have special talks on different issues and talks for women. i usually just go to our website to listen to these but i think you can download the most recent sermon as a podcast.
i also listened to matt chandler (can't remember which church he is from) a lot while living in india. some others i like are tony campolo (i disagree with his theology but he has a ton of podcasts about current/social issues that are very interesting) and john piper who has a sermon on just about every topic imaginable.
"I enjoy thinking about Jesus"
for some reason this sentence made me laugh out loud. (Prenancy hormones what.) I love how you just boil down your entire mindset into one simple sentence.
I'm going to start saying this all the time. I just thought you should know. I'm trying to be less verbose (stop laughing) so cutting straight to the meat of my thought is important. this statement will help.
I enjoy thinking about Jesus.
Yes, David Platt! Have you heard him speak. One of my faves...super cerebral but also very relatable.
Also, Francis Chan.
John Piper, Albert Mohler, and James Dobson on parenting are some of my favorites. A lot of people like Alistair Begg too and Mark Driscoll.
Do your kids (well, I guess just Kiran) listen to podcasts too? My girls love listening to StoryNory and now Odyssey has their shows in podcast form for free!
