We finally got my brother Will, our resident landscaping guru, over to our house on Saturday. He and Jonathan performed a minor miracle on our yard. We went from being an embarrassment to our neighbors (well except for the ones beside us- we always looked good compared to them) to contender for Yard of the Month (except we don't really have that competition in this neighborhood but my parents' neighborhood does! But we can't compete because we don't live there.).
Uncle Will with his favorite helper
Will told me I should come out and take before pictures....but I didn't. They trimmed bushes and trees and cut grass and spread mulch and pretty much made our house look good.
the side bed- it was a mess of weeds and overgrown bushes before
Will said it was just like an episode on HGTV. Except it took way longer than 30 minutes. And they had to do all the work themselves. And we were on a strict budget.

It looks great, Kelley! Y'all did a wonderful job. Your house is so cute and it has great curb appeal.
Our poor yard needs some help, too. B wants so badly for it to look nice but we would have to put down some big cash for new shrubs, etc. We have very little to work with. Hopefully one day it will look nice like yours.
(HA - on a side note, the word verification that I just typed in was "doody". HAHAHA)
fun!
Yay for yard work! One Friday I call Stuart and he goes, I just bought 20 bags of mulch...he always surprises me! But now our Yard looks a ton better! And Praise the Lord for rain, even though I hate wet feet...
WOW it looks so good! Your house is really cute. And so is the little girl on the tricycle. :)
Makes me want to come visit! Great job!
Landscaping is EXPENSIVE. I tell you what... we were lucky in that we inherited good landscaping. Which we about destroyed.
Note to self: next time we have to spread mulch, call Stu.
Come on Mert. You can sleep in Sienna's room.
