I don't remember ever going to a pumpkin patch when I was growing up but it seems to be the fad these days. We saw an advertisement for an apple farm/pumpkin patch so we stopped on our way back from Greenville one day. I guess the drought really got to the pumpkins because the patch was a little... dead. Kiran still had fun but we did actually buy our pumpkin from Walmart. I hate buying stuff like that from Walmart but we went to Lowe's first and they were all sold out.

I'm looking forward to seeing the newly decorated walls of the purple room. You are the bravest girl I know - and you are afraid of a little leveling lazer? No way!
Was Kiran eating that pumpkin? haha! Cute! Pumpkin Patches are cool :)
I'm not afraid of the laser- I'm afraid of the drill!
Cute pumpkins pics! WE used to go to this place called Honey Pot Hill where they would make Apple Cider Donuts---THEY WERE sooo yummy -Good Fall Memories!
Have you glued your letters on Kiran's wall yet??
Honey Pot Hill??? HAHAHAHA
Jill- I just can't decide- hot glue gun or elmer's glue?
i'm sure you've already bought them but i found a great website with letters and phrases and such for the wall that stick on but come off without any damage to the wall. let me know if you're interested.
Beth- I would love to see that website.
The joke about the glue is because the previous owners of our house glued the wood letters of their son's name to the wall. I haven't figured out how I'm going to get it off yet. I think its going to require some wrenches, hot water, and a lot of patching. Or we just have a son and name him Grant.

YES Honey Pot Hill! I promise!
beth - this comment reminded me that I have a recipe for apple cider donuts, something my Grandma ripped out of a church cookbook years and years ago. I'm posting it here: http://mgoetts.blogspot.com
I laughed when I read Jill's comment about the glue on the letters! When should we expect little Grant? HA! What did you do in the room today?
I promise I'm getting you guys a picture of Ulysses S. Grant to put under the name in your guest bedroom. Then, you can say to your friends, "you'll be staying in the Grant bedroom," and they'll be all impressed and stuff. I know I would be.
speaking of staying in the Grant bedroom, LP & jill you didn't fill out the guest book when you stayed the other night. Don't worry. I will mark the page and let you do it at a later date.
AH I didn't do anything in Kiran room's today except show LP what I had done previously. Does that count? Ok I'm going to do something tomorrow... and I really need to start using dad's drill b/c i have to give it back at some point in the near future.
i kind of figured (or maybe hoped) you weren't going to glue anything to your walls. but i found this website and fell in love with it. we just hung miller's name in his room but when we can own a house, i'm going to use some of this stuff b/c i love it. http://www.signherevinyl.com/
beth ewing- that website is awesome! I love it! And no drilling required! Have you ordered anything?
