1. See the newly restored historic Daniel Morgan statue downtown.
#19. See the Palmetto Tree Fountain at Extended Stay America
One of the perks of Jonathan’s job that he gets off at 2pm on Fridays in the summer. This past Friday afternoon we headed downtown to walk around and be cultured. We hit some of our 175 Things To Do. Since we were wandering around, we found out that there was an Artcycle exhibition which is art made out of bicycles. Our favorites were the yoga poses and the praying mantis.
#12. See the “Wall Street Journal” sculpture located at the Morgan Square side of Extended Stay America’s headquarter building.
We also checked out the Hub City Bookshop, the CoffeeBar and Cakehead Bakeshop. We love patronizing local businesses and these did not disappoint. Except that we were disappointed that Cakehead closes at 3 so we only got to choose from what was left over at the coffee shop. Must go back before 3pm one day. We love the revitalization going on downtown! Keep it up Hub City! We’ll support you!
