Catching Up....

We went to Lancaster for Thanksgiving with J's parents and granddad. This was the annual after lunch nap.

The next day we headed up to Brevard for the annual Day After Thanksgiving Tree Hunt with the Fitz fam.
Kiran potty trained! It was much easier than I anticipated- K did great!
*no photo for this one sorry*

Katie and Noah got married and I was reminded of why my college years were so good. I love this picture because Katie is looking at the camera and Noah is looking at Katie.

Sienna's night wakings worsened and she started waking up screaming. That plus some other things prompted a trip to the dr and a decision to try some meds for reflux. Sure enough 5 days after we started, her night wakings just stopped except for one feeding. I have since had dairy which messed her all up again for the beach but hopefully she'll get back to sleeping again soon!
My car hit 100,000 miles!!!
Jonathan ignored our money limit for Christmas and surprised me with a Wii and WiiFit. The girls got me Mario Kart. I'm terrible at Mario Kart but I will get better! I like Wii tennis way more than real tennis. Oh this is the photo J snapped when I came out Christmas morning and saw the Wii.

We drove to the beach for a week of fun in the sun with J's parents.

We switched Sienna to cloth diapers! Well mostly- I only have 5 so every day she wears those 5 then every night I wash them. I love cloth diapers and I wish I had made the switch earlier.
I donated about 10 inches of hair!

Whew that brings us back to the present. I want to do a Top 10 pictures of 2008 post and a recap of my books read with recommendations to you.

So much fun stuff! I love Wii Tennis too. I'm such a Wii nerd. Also, Sienna looks cute in her little BumGeniuses! Did you get the extra liners and just use 5 covers, or does she only go 5 times a day? :) I'm glad you ended up liking them!! You may need to do a potty training post! Or at least email me. :)

Oh good! I am thinking about using cloth diapers and was wondering if I had a friend who used them. I will be asking questions soon! :)

Love the hair!

emu - kelley's friend Andrea uses Bum Genius Diapers, she might be able to answer questions... http://southasiashefs.blogspot.com/

also, Baby Cheapskate does diaper reviews periodically, you could search her blog for info on cloth diapering as well. http://babycheapskate.blogspot.com/

good luck!

I always love your posts...you are a great writer. They cover interesting topics, are easy to read, and are accompanied by great photos. Keep up the good work! I LOVE the pic of the Fitz Fam...you gotta frame that! So cool about cloth diapers...I was really thinking about switching this summer, but couldn't bare the extra laundry. Pansy excuse...I know. Glad to hear Sienna's nights are getting better.

I have two extra liners but I'm just using them to allow the others to air dry since the liners take longer than the diapers to dry. She goes through about 5 diapers during the day- more if she has extra poopy diapers and one at night. I think 6-8 diapers a day is normal at this age.

ItsaMomThing- thank you for your sweet compliment. It makes me want to continue writing and blogging. I don't mind the laundry- since you don't have to fold them! But if it had required extra dishes to be washed- no way.

Fun update! My random thoughts:

I love all the pics.
Do you like your short hair?
Cute baby you got there.
How's the Wii Fit? J did good.

Oh - and how come there's no one waving (especially you or your dad) in the Fitz family tree-hunting photo? I'm so used to that...

I do like my hair short although I'm not a huge fan of it just down in the front.

Love the Wii Fit. We do it every night.

We forgot to do a waving picture- can you believe it? Don't worry there is still a candid one of my dad waving.

Yeah for cloth diapers! Fuzzi Bunz are my favorite. I switched with Zion and have loved having them for both of mine. We have way more than 5 for 2 kids though!! I'd say they go through 5 or 6 a day each, so we wash every day too! 10-12 diapers and double inserts in most makes a full load!
