Chopsticks

We had stir fry the other night for dinner and gave Kiran chopsticks to eat her meal. She loved trying to use them!
Then she wanted to show off her other utensil too!

Friends

This weekend Merritt came down to help us and hang out and meet Sienna. We did nothing spectacular but it was a great visit. On Saturday all my college roommates converged on Boiling Springs for a little fun together.


Last night we got to visit with some of our good friends from India. We really enjoyed catching up with them and we really really enjoyed the Chocolate Extreme Bluebell (they are from Texas) ice cream.

Kiran was attached to Thomas all night! And Sienna was just as calm as could be. Who is this baby???

Locks of Love

Have any of you every donated hair to Locks of Love? Isn't there another organization that does this too? My hair has gotten long and I'm dying to cut it but this morning I had a brainstorm of maybe letting it grow more and donating it. I've never done this before so I don't really know what the details are. Have any of you done it and can you clue me in on what I need to do? And what is the minimum inches required?

1 Month (yesterday)

Everyone wasn't kidding when they told me that time would pass more quickly the second time around. I don't know where the past month has gone. Well yes I do- feeding Sienna, trying to get her to go to sleep, repeat. But anyhow....

I was sad to say goodbye to July. Its no longer Sienna's birth month. She seems a little bit older since she was born last month. She's moved out of her newborn onesies and into size 1 diapers. She's consistently giving us 5 hours of sleep at night and sometimes (like last night- 7 hours straight!) more. She is getting good at holding her head up and actually doesn't mind tummy time at all. I think she would be belly sleeper but I'm too nervous to let her. Except sometimes I do for naps. Don't tell. She's rolled herself over from her tummy to her back three separate times but I think they are just flukes. She hates her car seat with a passion. I swear she smiled back at me this afternoon. She loves to be held and loves to sleep in my wrap. She and her sister are already becoming buddies and I think I'm going to have to closely watch the two of them.

No day has been the same this last month. These two keep me on my toes...and on my knees. I can't tell you how many times I've cried to the Lord- You are the keeper of all wisdom! Share some with me! I had someone ask me yesterday if I was ever bored staying at home. I can remember being a little bored when Kiran was a very young baby but now with two little ones, no time to be bored. Somebody always needs something or will need something or is getting into something....

So I better head to bed before someone comes calling....

First Bath and First Professional Football Team Practice

Sienna's umbilical cord stump finally fell off at 22 days old so she got to have her first real bath!

Ducky towel!

Since that first bath, Sienna's other baths have always involved too much poop to clean with just wipes. Kiran actually goes into Sienna's room, opens the second drawer, and brings me a onesie every time Sienna poops without me asking. That is how often she explodes out of the diapers. Yes we've tried many different brands of diapers.


The Carolina Panthers are having their training camp at nearby Wofford College so Jonathan took Kiran out to watch practice.
