This year Kiran & I participated in a preschool co-op.
5 preschoolers, 4 moms
The moms took turns teaching- 2 weeks every 8 weeks. We used letters and numbers to give us some structure but it was pretty free for the interpreting.
We had a blast. It was a great compromise for us between full time preschool and doing nothing.
Today we had their end of year party.
And with the little sisters:
There are 4 little brothers also but they were sleeping.
Three of the five will be starting kindergarten in the fall. K is one of the two that will not. She misses the cut-off by 7 days. I’m not sure yet what we will pursue for next year. I’m sure we’ll come up with something exciting.

what a great idea! will be praying for another good fit for your family for this next year.
what a great idea! wish we had someone like you around here to get us to do things like this.
That's a fun idea! And I love Kiran's swimsuit. (as in, I wish it came in my size :)
I can't take credit for the idea- Frances asked me to be a part of it and I'm so glad she did. Anyone can do it- just gather up a few moms and kids, decide on a loose structure and schedule and go!
@Emily- My sister said the same thing!! Check Land's End- I got hers through them at Sears.
Kiran is beautiful. Finn starts a coop this week, but it's run through the county so it's a little different in how we as parents have to work. I love your idea.
