I just looked back at my 2008 Book Superlatives post and I beat my goal of 50 books. Barely. I'm not going to make any goals for this year. I feel like my goal of surviving 2010 is probably ambitious enough. I do hope I get to read some interesting books. Somehow.

2009 Superlatives:

Favorite Fiction: The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein

Most Inspiring: Three Cups of Tea by Greg Morteson and David Oliver Relin

Expanded My Brain the Most: Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver

Challenged Me Spiritually: The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis and How to Develop a Powerful Prayer Life by Dr Gregory R Frizzell

Characters I Still Think About Sometimes: South of Broad by Pat Conroy

Book My Heart Resonated With: Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv

Here's the part where I ask for recommendations for 2010! I noticed nonfiction sticks with me longer but I love a great fiction book as well. So what worthy books have you read lately?

Wow I am so impressed how many books you read!! I am trying to up my number to one book a month this year. I start reading and fall asleep at night so it takes me 6 months to get through a book. Way to go :)

Girl, You are THE woman! I haven't read 50 books in the 5 yrs since I started having children!!!
My issue is that I don't prioritize well when I'm reading-- I'll stay up all night to finish a good book, etc. and I cannot do that now and survive, so I just don't read as much anymore. I do miss it.
What a well-rounded book list!! very impressive. :)

Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom. Took it out of the library and read it twice. Then bought it from Amazon for my phone.

This is my hobby girls- I love to read. I always have. Ask my parents. And I love love love the library.

Thanks Kellie- I've read Mitch Albom before and really liked him so I will definitely put that one on my list for this year!

Thanks for sharing; I've been meaning to write my post like this too. I'll add some of your faves to my list. I am reading the 4th Outlander book right now and it's taking forever -- I like them, but they are sooooo long!

I have not read Water for Elephants but I think my MIL has it. I'll get it from her.

I couldn't stomach the Outlander series so I stopped after the first one.
