I'm so out of the loop that a Nicholas Sparks book has already come out and hit the shelves and I didn't even know to preorder it! Ever since I inherited all of my grandmother's hardback Nicholas Sparks books, I've been adding to her collection with every new title. I figure since I'm going to buy the hardback anyway, I might as well preorder it and have it show up at my house the day it comes out. So now I need to go get The Choice.
Fun fact: Nicholas Sparks was living in Greenville, SC when he published his first novel so he always starts his book tours there!

what? i didn't know that. i NEED that book. i have read all his books and LOVE them!
I started it last night. He has A LOT to live up to if it is going to be as good as Dear John. I think I feel in love with John. haha. HG is napping, and I am off to read now. BTW, it is 30% off at Target. ENJOY! :)
oops, feel=fell
I heard it was out...and then forgot. I'll wait til it hits the library.
Did you read that book I sent? What'd you think?
Do you remember Lisa McFarlane? She lives in the house he owned when he lived in Greenville!!
Part of Dear John was set in Lenoir, NC- where I taught for a year at Happy Valley Elem. I think John has better feelings about the town than I do :)
Thanks for the heads up about the 30% off. I saw it at Target last night and it was $17ish. Is that 30% off? Because that sounds like regular price to me.
I do remember Lisa- more her brother Adam. Where is the house? That is just cool.
You know, I didn't really pay attention to the price. I just saw the 30% off sticker, and I also bought other stuff. I think I did pay $17. Oh well, I am on Chapter 10 and it is GOOD!
Your little lion is adorable!! I will be praying for her blood stuff! Just catching up on your new blog - last week we went t0 Candidate Conference in Richmond - will be switching to password protected blog in the coming weeks! Hoping to see you guys and your precious Kiran before we leave...maybe around Christmas???

Jeni,
We're actually at MLC right now at a debriefing conference. We'll be here until Sunday morning.
We'd love to hear about your experiences!
I think I'll be waiting at the library, too. I'm such a sucker for his books, though I have to admit his writing lacks a little (if one more of his characters "nurses a beer" I might scream - find a new phrase!). I can't stop reading them, though!
The guilty pleasure that I have to OWN is John Grisham. Yes, even though they're all pretty much the same. Can't get enough, apparently!
Enjoy your trip (did you cry all the way there, by the way? I was thinking about you)...
